Live radio
Switch it on, pick a band with the keys and turn the dial. AIR has control towers from all over the world; OC and VHF are ham receivers you tune frequency by frequency; CW has Morse code to practise; and ESC has scanners and weather.

How it works
Control towers
AIR carries audio from volunteers who listen to airports and share it through LiveATC. It is amplitude modulation, in the 118 to 137 MHz band. At night there is little traffic: check the local time in the list.
Remote receivers
On OC and VHF you are not listening to a recording: the dial really moves an SDR receiver that a radio amateur has connected to the internet. They are shared: if one is full, the radio jumps to the next. Do not leave it on if you are not listening.
Morse code
On CW, lessons are generated in your browser with Farnsworth spacing: fast characters with longer pauses between them, so you learn them by sound. The workshop has the tape with the text, which you can hide to test yourself.
These broadcasts belong to third parties and may stop without notice. In Spain, air traffic control communications may not be rebroadcast; the ones you hear here come from countries where that is allowed. Do not pass on what you hear from services that are not broadcasting.
